Nitric Oxide-independent superoxide-sensitive stimulator of soluble guanylate cyclase. Inhibits platelet adhesion to collagen. Non-specific phosphodiesterase inhibitor. YC-1 inhibits HIF- activity in tumors resulting in blocked angiogenesis and an inhibition of tumor growth. Synonyms: 3-(5'-Hydroxymethyl-2'-furyl)-1-benzylindazole.
