Immunogen
Purified normal IgG isolated from pooled swine serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Isotype

Specificity
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc and Fab subunits of both subclasses, IgG1 and IgG2. In immunoelectrophoresis against swine serum, a single characteristic precipitin line is usually observed, representing primarily Igg2. The IgG1 may become visible a spur. The antiserum includes a certain degree of reactivity with other immunoglobulins via the common Fab portion. In immunoelectrophoresis against swine serum a single characteristic precipitin line with a spur is usually obtained.

Characteristics
Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled goat serum. Antibody titre: Precipitin titre not less than 1:64 when tested against normal swine serum in agar block titration.
Purification
Delipidated, heat inactivated lyophilized stable whole serum No adsorption required.
