Peroxiredoxin 5, also known as PRDX5, is a member of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduces hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides with reducing equivalents provided through the thioredoxin system. This protein may play an antioxidant protective role in different tissues under normal conditions and during inflammatory processes. It has been reported that peroxiredoxin 5 is involved in intracellular redox signaling. Recombinant Peroxiredoxin 5 protein was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Alternative Names: AOEB166 protein, B116 protein, PRDX5 protein, Peroxiredoxin -5, Peroxiredoxin 5, Thioredoxin reductase., SBBI10 protein, Peroxiredoxin 5 protein, PRDX 5 protein, PRXV protein, PLP protein, Peroxiredoxin -5 protein, PMP20 protein, ACR1 protein, Peroxiredoxin 5 protein, AOEB116 protein, Peroxiredoxin 5
