Cross-Reactivity (Details) This product gives a single arc when tested by IEP and 2D-IEP against human serum. Identity is confirmed by double diffusion (Ouchterlony) against human serum and a known anti-human IgG (Gamma chain). The cross reactivity of this product against the sera of the species listed below has been assessed by double diffusion using 10ul of antisera against 1ul of species sera. These results are intended as a guideline only. It is possible that cross-reactivity against species listed as negative may be observed when using different test conditions or techniques. Purification This antiserum is prepared by immunizing sheep with the above antigen. It is then delipidated and if necessary adsorbed to monospecificity by use of solid-phase adsorbants. Following adsorption an immunoglobulin fraction is produced by Ion Exchange Chromatography. Zone electrophoresis is performed to ensure that only a gamma-mobility component is present. The relative titre is determined by radial immunodiffusion and adjusted so that inter-batch variation is within 10 %, and the .

Application Notes Suitable for use in a variety of gel techniques including radial immunodiffusion (RID), double diffusion, immunoelectrophoresis (IEP) and rocket IEP. The use of 3 % PEG 6000 with 1.3 % agarose in a suitable buffer (such as TBE or Tris-barbital pH >8.2) is recommended. This product can also be used in immunohistochemical procedures. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
