Cross-Reactivity (Details) Based on immunoelectrophoresis, the antibody reacts with the heavy chains on human IgG but not with the light chains on most human immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against human IgM, IgA, or against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. This product has been passed through solid phase immunoadsorbent gels to remove antibodies which cross react with bovine, horse, and mouse serum proteins, but antibodies may cross react with immunoglobulins from other species. Minimal cross reaction to Bovine, Horse, and Mouse Serum Proteins.

Purification Isolated from antisera by a combination of pepsin digestion and Immuno Affinity Chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads. Fc fragments and whole IgG molecules have been removed.

Application Notes Suitable for use in ELISA (1:5.000-1:50.000) and Western blot (1:5.000-1:50.000). Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Precaution of Use This product contains sodium azide, which has been classified as Xn (Harmful) in European Directive 67/548/EEC in the concentration range of 0.1-1.0 %. When disposing of this reagent through lead or copper plumbing, flush with copious volumes of water to prevent azide build-up in drains.
Handling Advice Do not freeze! Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity.
Do not add Sodium azide.
Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.
Prepare working dilution only prior to immediate use. Please note that the concentration of protein and buffer salts will decrease to one-half of the original after the addition of glycerol. Centrifuge product if it is not completely clear after standing for 1-2 hours at room temperature. To judge clarity, draw product into a pasteur pipette.

Storage Comment Store lyophilized product at 2-8 °C. After reconstitution, store at 2-8 °C for up to six weeks as an undiluted liquid. For extended storage after reconstitution, add an equal volume of glycerol (ACS grade or better) to make a final concentration of 50 % glycerol and store at -28 °C.
