简单介绍:
CarboxypeptidaseM(CPM)(AA18-422)(Active)protein(Histag)
详情介绍:
Characteristics This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 47.1 kDa. The protein migrates as 49 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Purity >90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Sterility 0.22 μm filtered
Endotoxin Level Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
ProductDetails: Biological Activity Comment Biological Activity: Measured by its ability to release Larginine from BenzoylAlaArg, with detection of the arginine amino group by ophthaldialdehyde. The specific activity is >40,000 pmoles/min/μg.

SDS-PAGE: due to glycosylation.
Background Carboxypeptidase M (CPM) belongs to the peptidase M14 family. CPM specifically removes C-terminal basic residues (Arg or Lys) from peptides and proteins, and the activity is inhibited by O-phenanthroline and MGTA and activated by cobalt. The amino acid sequence of CPM indicated that the C-terminal hydrophobic region might be a signal for membrane attachment via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor. CPM is involved in peptide metabolism on both the cell surface and in extracellular fluids. CPM functions not only as a protease but also as a binding partner in cell-surface protein-protein interactions.
