Immunogen Purified immunoglobulin fractions isolated from pooled rabbit serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Purification Hyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation by Salt-Precipitation and purifaction of the IgG fraction by DEAE Chromatography
Background The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc and Fab subunits of the major Immunoglobulin isotypes. It does not react with any non-Ig protein in rabbit serum, as tested by immuno immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion In enzyme-immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical staining for the detection of IgG, antigen or antibody, of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates at the cellular and subcellular level. In non-isotopic assay methodology (e.g. ELISA) to identify and measure a specific IgG in rabbit serum or other body fluid. In electron microscopy, since the complex between the conjugated antibody and the antigen also has electron-dense properties.Synonyms: Rabbit IgA, Rabbit IgG, Rabbit IgM
Application Notes Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.

Do NOT add Sodium Azide! Use of Sodium Azide will inhibit enzyme activity of horseradish peroxidase.

Storage Comment Prior to reconstitution store at 2-8 °C. Following reconstitution store undiluted at 2-8 °C for one week or (in aliquots) at -28 °C for longer.
