Specificity This antibody recognises leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor-1 (LAIR-1). Clone NKTA255 is reported to inhibit NK cell triggering via CD16 Molecules. We recommend the use of SM2048A for this purpose.

Background LAIR-1 is a 40kD cell surface molecule that functions as an inhibitory receptor on natural killer cells, monocytes and T cells.
