Alternative Name CD103 (ITGAE Antibody Abstract)
Background CD103 is a glycoprotein expressed by approximately 1 % of peripheral blood lymphocytes, activated T lymphocytes and by hairy cell leukaemia cells. The antigen is also expressed by intraepithelial lymphocytes. It has recently been shown to be identical to the alphaE integrin.Synonyms: HML-1 antigen, ITGAE, Integrin alpha-E, Integrin alpha-IEL, Mucosal lymphocyte 1 antigen
