Characteristics Trypsin is a digestive enzyme commonly used in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical procedures. Its digestive properties are in many cases required as a pretreatment prior to the primary antibody application..
Components Trypsin Concentrate (4x) (3 mL), Typsin Buffer (7 mL).
Protocol 1. Combine Trypsin Concentrate with Trypsin Buffer in 1:3 (one part to three parts).
2. Incubate the trypsin mixture on the tissue section for 10 minutes at 37°C.
3. Rinse with buffer solution to stop the digestive action, and proceed with remainder of immunohistochemical protocol.

Precaution of Use 1. Take reasonable precautions when handling reagents. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
2. Avoid contact of reagents with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. If reagents come into contact with sensitive areas, wash with copious amounts of water.
3. Consult local or state authorities with regard to recommended method of disposal.
4. Avoid microbial contamination of reagents.

Storage 4 °C
Storage Comment The user must validate any other storage conditions. This reagent must be returned to the storage conditions identified above immediately after use. When properly stored, the reagent is stable to the date indicated on the label. Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date.
