Characteristics Cell-permeable. A potent and specific protein arginine N-methyltransferase (PRMTs) inhibitor (IC50 = 8.8 µM for human PRMT1 and 3.0 µM for yeast Hmt1p ). Does not compete for the AdoMet (S-adenosyl-L-methionine, SAM) . Also acts as a HIV-1 RT polymerase inhibitor (IC50 = 5.0 µM).
