Cross-Reactivity (Details) Sheep IgM. Reacts with epitope on the heavy chain of sheep IgM. Cross-reacts with bovine IgM. Does not cross-react with human, porcine, horse, rabbit, guinea pig, rat and chicken. Does not cross-react with Sheep IgG and IgA.

Application Notes Detection of IgM in sheep and bovine serums. Preparation of enzyme conjugates for detection of early specific antibodies to infectious agents. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Monoclonal antibodies should not be stored at a temperature below -25 °C due to the aggregation effect of the protein.
