Cross-Reactivity (Details) Minimal cross-reaction to Bovine Serum Proteins. Based on immunoelectrophoresis, the antibody reacts with the Fc5u portion of the human IgM heavy chain. No antibody was detected against normal human IgG or IgA, or against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Has been tested by ELISA and or solid-phase adsorbed to ensure minimal cross-reaction with bovine serum proteins, but may cross-react with IgM from other species.

Application Notes A dilution range of 1:500 - 1:5.000 is suggested for immunohistochemistry on tissue sections, 1:5.000 - 1:100.000 for ELISA and Western blotting with chromogenic substrates and 1:10.000 - 1:200,00 for Western blotting with ECL substrates. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.

Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute to 1.5 mL with distilled water.
Buffer Lyophilized from 0.01 M Sodium Phosphate, 0.21 M NaCl, pH 7.6 containing 15 mg/mL BSA.
Handling Advice Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Dilute only prior to immediate use
Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
Do NOT add Sodium Azide! Use of Sodium Azide will inhibit enzyme activity of horseradish peroxidase.
Storage 4 °C
Storage Comment Store lyophilized product at 2-8 °C. After reconstitution, store for several weeks at 2-8 °C as an undiluted liquid. Long term storage, aliquot and store at -28 °C or below.
