简单介绍:
AmyloidPComponent,serum(APCS)(AA20-223)(Active)protein(Histag)
详情介绍:
Characteristics This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 24 kDa. The protein migrates as 26 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
Purity >95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Sterility 0.22 μm filtered
Endotoxin Level Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
Background Serum amyloid P-component (SAP) is also known as Pentraxin 2 (PTX2), APCS, which belongs to the pentaxin family. SAP contains one pentaxin domain. PTX2 is a secreted homopentamer protein which is found in serum and urine. SAP is a precursor of amyloid component P which is found in basement membrane and associated with amyloid deposits. SAP can interact with DNA and histones and may scavenge nuclear material released from damaged circulating cells. SAP may also function as a calcium-dependent lectin. SAP has certain sequence homology with C-reactive protein (CRP).
Molecular Weight 24 kDa
