Purification Affinity chromatography on Protein G
Alternative Name TNFRSF18 / GITR (TNFRSF18 Antibody Abstract)
Background GITR is a member of the tumour necrosis superfamily, which is also referred to as TNFRSF18. Mouse GITR is predominantly expressed by CD4+/CD25+ T regulatory cells and on CD4+/CD25- cells upon activation. Studies demonstrate that mouse GITR ligand (mGITRL) can bind to mGITR and neutralise the suppressive effects of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells. GITR signalling can also enhance the proliferation of naive and primed T cells, suggesting a key role for GITR in the regulation of T cell-mediated immunity.Synonyms: AITR, Activation-inducible TNFR family receptor, Glucocorticoid-induced TNFR-related protein, Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18
